 The young dragon watched as the trees swayed in the wind. A whole mix of feelings bubbled in her stomach, leaving her unsure. Reagan sighed; she had already visited the school today, after she received the letter of acceptance. Most of her belongings sat in boxes, ready to be moved. A looming feeling of fear seized her mind. What if she doesn’t make it? She stared at her hands before clenching them. Sliding off the bed, she grabbed her guitar from the corner. The small nine-year-old crept down the creaky old wooden stairs of the two level cabin. The soft strumming in the room beneath hers had caught her attention. Reagan peered around the corner, the soft glow of fire touched her face. It was the only source of light in the dark room. Reagan listened to the patter of rain hitting the roof. She took a deep breathe, letting the musty smell fill her lungs. Getting up from her bed, she placed a piece of wood on her desk. Relaxing, her shoulder's sagged and she took another deep breathe. Her eyes closed as she imagined the wood; she imagined the wood being set aflame. The fire burned bright with reddish hues, the warmth hit the bare skin of her face. She imagined it growing bigger and brighter, until the entire wood was consumed in flames.
